Great hotel. Roomy rooms. Massive beds! Posh washer dryer toilets with heated seats. TV, fridge and a kettle (some complimentary teas and coffees would have been nice but no biggie). The location is excellent. Close enough to many of the NY attractions that are within walking distance (Times Square, Empire State, Rockerfella, Broadway, and Central Park a bit further up. The hotel has a lovely Japanese restaurant, we got a 10% discount for being guests at the hotel. Really great food and friendly service. Overall really pleased with whole experience
I recently traveled with a friend to NYC and stayed at the Henn Na Hotel. We stayed in a suite on the 18th floor and it was fabulous! The rooms are so spacious, and truly so calming compared to the hustle of New York City Streets. Everyone at the hotel was super nice, and answered any question we tossed at them. The location was close to great bagel shops and coffee places. Honestly, I felt like we were a 7-10 minute walk from anything we wanted! I can't wait to go back to the city and stay at the Henn Na again!
It's not a bad place to stay. I think it is strange that they have a jail cell, dinosaur, and fake foliage in the lobby. Seems like they can not pick a theme. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean. View from the 17th floor sucks.
Very convenient location with good service. 10-15 mins walk to the Empire State and Korea town. 15 mins walk to Time square. Even during busy Christmas season, the front service was excellent allowing free late checkout and free luggage keeping for the whole checkout day. Very close to famous bagel stores such as best bagel and liberty bagel.
Great hotel at great location right near Penn Station. Reception was very helpful with all my complicated requests, and was willing to change my reservation when I needed it. There is a dinosaur in the lobby for some reason, but it seems friendly.
My only complaint is that the rooms' main light has some kind of automatic switch that turns off with an annoying click if you're not in the sensor's range. If you don't want to be in the dark, or have to listen to annoying clicks, you need to convince the sensors you're there every few minutes. Not sure why they have this "feature" but I'm not going to take off a whole star for it.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! The shower curtains smelt like sweat and have brown stains on them. The bed sheets when we came in were dirty, they claimed that they “didn’t see it.” Did they not clean the sheets before putting it on the bed?? When contacting the front desk about our concerns, women was very unhelpful and unprofessional, demonstrating no concern or trying to help and telling her that she can not switch our rooms and the most that can be done is to give us new sheets and we would have to make the bed ourselves. I found this very unprofessional and honestly disgusting to have your guests treated this way. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
Very convenient location just 2-3 blocks from Penn Station (with the adjacent Moynihan Train Hall) in one direction, and Herald Square & Macy's in the other. Clean room with 2 queen beds fitted in white sheets and comfy pillows. Surprisingly quiet (11th floor room facing another building close by) & with blackout curtains. Clean bathroom with a bidet. Fast elevator. // One "odd" thing is the roaring/swaying dinosaur in the small lobby. It doesn't fit with the contemporary style of the hotel. The nook for the dinosaur would be better repurposed with a sofa, chairs and perhaps some small tables for guests. The only seating in the lobby is an uncomfortable long wooden slab bench. Get rid of the dinosaur, makes no thematic sense.
Room had two Queen sized beds, which worked for us. Nice to have the little fridge. Room would have benefited from a couch or a comfortable chair, but perhaps there isn't room. Shower was good. Staff were pleasant. Reasonably priced (by New York standards). If you have Young children, they'll love the dinosaur in the lobby. If I went back to New York (which I probably won't) I'd stay there again.
